Any day, including Ali’s birthday, may be his last.
Ali al-Nimr was only a child when he was arrested for the “crimes” of attending pro-democracy protests and explaining how to give first aid to protesters. He now faces “death by crucifixion.” In Saudi Arabia, once a death sentence is final, you can be executed at any time. The authorities don’t even need to inform your family.
Ali’s birthday is on Wednesday – any day, including his birthday, may be his last.
For those on death row, birthdays can be a particularly difficult time. Trapped without your friends and family, it can sometimes feel like the world has forgotten you. In dark times like these, messages of support from people like you can make a big difference. We want Ali and his family to know that his supporters around the world are thinking of him and campaigning for his release.
Will you take a moment to send a message of support to Ali, by signing our birthday card to him?
Thanks for your support.
