Hearing in Parliament tomorrow with German MP Hans-Christian Ströbele

A parliamentary hearing (open to press) will be held tomorrow with German Green MP Hans-Christian Ströbele to discuss the impact on Anglo-German relations of recent revelations about UK complicity in US surveillance and the ‘war on terror’.

MP Ströbele met recently with NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden in Moscow and has called for him to be granted asylum in Germany. The hearing will be chaired by MP Julian Huppert. MP Tom Watson and Clare Algar, Executive Director of the legal human rights charity Reprieve, will speak on the panel.
