As Reprieve’s Strategic Litigation Lead, Stacy works on strategic litigation which seeks to hold the British Government to account for complicity in the death penalty, torture, secret detention and extrajudicial killings abroad. She oversees a diverse portfolio of cases before the English courts, tribunals and complaints mechanisms, as well as before a range of international and regional human rights mechanisms. These cases include civil and public law actions, information law claims and human rights complaints.

Before joining Reprieve, Stacy practised as a criminal barrister. Prior to her practice at the Bar, she worked in human rights advocacy and legal research roles in the charity sector. Stacy holds a Law degree from the University of Durham and a Master’s in Human Rights Law from Queen’s University Belfast, with dissertations on the regulation of targeted killings and whistleblowing within the national security sector.
