Helen Marshall is a solicitor with over 35 years experience, and was until recently a partner in the London office of a US law firm. She advises clients on investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by financial services regulators, and she previously held a number of senior roles within the UK financial services regulator. She started her legal career as a criminal defence lawyer, and later worked as a court clerk and a prosecutor. Helen has been a supporter of Reprieve for several years and prior to her Board appointment she was involved in providing pro bono legal advice to Reprieve on their Malawi death penalty work. Helen joined the Reprieve Board in October 2023.
