Fears from family of man executed in Saudi Arabia that Biden visit 'legitimizes' MBS rule

InThePress_ABC_News

ABC News reports on fears from the family of Mustafa al-Khayat, who was executed by Saudi Arabia in March for alleged “terrorist” activities, that a visit to the country by US President Joe Biden on Friday ‘legitimizes’ the rule of Mohammed bin Salman.

Yasser al-Khayat, the brother of Mustafa al-Khayat, said in a statement: “We are still mourning. This visit legitimizes Mohammed bin Salman’s actions, sending the message that my brother’s life doesn’t matter and that America will continue to support the regime no matter how many of us they kill.”
