George is a casework lawyer and UK-qualified solicitor.
George’s work focuses on the death penalty and related issues in South East Asia, including drug policy, fair trial standards, torture, development, human trafficking, and discrimination. He also assists with strategic actions to challenge British complicity in human rights abuses overseas.
George studied English Literature before converting to law and completing further studies in international law and drug policy.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and worked in the litigation department of a London-based firm before joining Reprieve in 2016. George held previous roles in the public sector, including with the Charity Commission and the NHS, and supports a diverse group of charities on a voluntary basis.
