30th anniversary screening of Fourteen Days in May

Graphic with Edward in prison cell

30 years ago at this moment, Edward Earl Johnson was running out of time, and I was fighting to save him from execution in Mississippi’s Gas Chamber.

Paul Hamann, an award-winning film-maker, was there to record that fight in the documentary Fourteen Days in May. Paul had access to the prison warden, guards and to Edward’s family in the last days leading up to his execution on the 20th of May 1987.

Later, Paul helped me to found Reprieve.

Here, you can watch the film and a recording of our live webcam Q&A.
