Courtenay joined Reprieve in August 2016 as Development and Outreach Officer. She is responsible for managing Reprieve’s supporters and donations. Courtenay is also involved in supporting the digital campaigns team and resource development team, and is responsible for grants from small trusts.
Courtenay graduated from the University in Leicester in 2014 with a degree in Ancient History and History, before obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP University in 2015. She has a long standing passion for human rights, and spent her time as a student writing for several human rights publications. Courtenay has previously worked at Freedom From Torture, and before joining Reprieve was coordinating the legal work being done to reunite child refugees in the Calais ‘Jungle’ with their families.
