Zoe works on a range of strategic civil and public law actions to challenge British complicity in torture and the death penalty overseas. She also works closely with local legal teams to provide support in strategic death penalty cases in South East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, including utilizing regional and international courts, tribunals and complaints mechanisms.
Before joining Reprieve, Zoe qualified as a solicitor at Allen & Overy LLP and was seconded to Liberty as part of her training contract. On qualification in 2011 Zoe moved to the Howard League for Penal Reform, where she worked on prison and public law cases for children and young people in the criminal justice system.
Zoe speaks French, German, Portuguese and Swahili. She has also lived and worked in Brazil, Tanzania and Uganda.
