As a Bertha Justice Fellow at Reprieve, Catriona works across death penalty, secret prisons and assassination cases and projects, and she also supports UN and EU advocacy across Reprieve`s casework team.
Prior to coming to Reprieve, Catriona worked as an Arabic-speaking legal fellow and later consultant at the Equal Rights Trust. There, her work focused on exposing patterns of discrimination and inequality in Jordan, Egypt and Yemen. Before joining the Equal Rights Trust she worked as a paralegal (Immigration law) at a UK law firm and led a team of UK volunteers within two Palestinian NGOs in East-Jerusalem.
She holds a BA in French and Arabic from University College London and the School of Oriental and African Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Law and an LLM in Comparative, International and European Law from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. She speaks Arabic, French and conversational Italian.
