Reprieve investigators are deployed around the world to bring to light the facts that can make a difference in an individual case, or expose the frailties of an entire justice system.
Thorough investigation underpins the litigation that Reprieve lawyers undertake on behalf of prisoners held in Guantánamo. Reprieve’s Fellowship programme supports the work of investigators working in the field in death penalty jurisdictions and Reprieve also provides investigation support on death penalty cases worldwide.
Additionally, Reprieve is conducting a systematic global investigation into the practice of “extraordinary renditions” and the network of secret prisons used in the so called “war on terror.”
