Paul Hamann, Chair and Trustee
Paul is one of the founders of Reprieve. He runs his own independent production company, Wild Pictures, and was previously the BBC's Head of Documentaries and History. He's also made over 50 documentaries himself, many winning awards, including a BAFTA for ‘The Duty Men’, which also won five further international awards. He received the BFI's Grierson Award for ‘Fourteen Days in May’, the powerful documentary about the execution of an innocent man, Edward Earl Johnson on Mississippi's death row, and for the controversial film ‘At The Edge Of The Union’. The Observer newspaper voted him the 'Documentary Maker's Documentary Maker'. |
