Fighting for the lives of people facing the death penalty
Who we are

Laura Stebbing

After graduating from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Sociology, Laura worked on police race and diversity policy at the Home Office. In 2006 she co-produced a production of the Vagina Monologues in Botswana and Mozambique – running workshops on HIV/AIDS and violence against women and working with local theatre groups to put on the show. She also spent time in Zimbabwe volunteering for the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights. In 2006, Laura completed a volunteer placement at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center, assisting lawyers with work for clients facing the death penalty in the Deep South. Laura was responsible for the fundraising for her projects in Africa and was also fundraising coordinator for Sing! Zimbabwe – a Zimbabwean theatre production taken to the Edinburgh festival in 2005. She now works on resource development for Reprieve.
